“A tough game for The Apocryphon who right from the start found themselves outnumbered and surprisingly outgunned in the pouring rain. In only his second game found himself dead with no Apo to help. From there things got worse with Rookie Mino Maarika taking a dirt nap a short while later after an altercation with Flint Churnblade whose saw was primed and ready for blood who was shortly joined by the Ko'd Manasseh who in his first game was finding out just how hard Trollslayer's hit. However midway through the first half the otherwise quiet Deathroller decided to enter the fray only to take out Jehoiada of the game but also take down himself leaving the team somewhat exposed. Looking to regroup they hit Legend Abimelech and tried to consolidate their position. However the hit was not hard enough and Abi sacked the ball carrier and the ball was picked up and held by Gragor and the odds were evened a bit with injuries to Fit and Drog whilst the half played out with The Apocryphon securing the lead.

In the second half the rain continued as did the blood, as the big hitters sat midfield duking it out the more fleeting elf and rat made a break down the left flank looking to secure an early score and hopefully the game. Using his strength to make his break the impending score seemed to anger the dwarfs and coach Valen could be heard giving instructions to the team to kill, kill, kill. The Dwarfs obliged and some broken ribs for Avigad and smashed ankle for Gragor mean that the next match against Hemel Stags will be a tough one. Abimelech ran in the touch down to secure the game and what looked like a sure fire loss was converted to a win as we realised that we weren't the only ones in this league having some tough luck. With the last quarter of the match seeing only 6 Genesis players on the pitch there was concern on the bench but despite the little beards putting the boot in a very well paid referee was on the scene to start removing them to dugout. With time running out the dwarfs dashed to the endzone but the hard hitting Elf was there to thwart them again and with the ball in the hands of Lot the clean sheet seemed secure. One last boot by the disgruntled dwarfs on the player who had been their downfall all game seemed fitting but fortunately for coach mike there was no injury and the game was done. A true bloody game for fans of the game and even some flair for the purists to. Until next time!”
