#11 Blake 'The Boss' Bortles – Smashed Hand (MNG)
Patriots did not earn the win, but did some good effort. There were sloppy plays, but getting out of the game mostly healthy, and hitting the Wolfskins hard was good. Winston lived up to his hype, and delivered jarring hits that
- Broke the neck of Vernon taking his dash
- Killing Bobby Massie
- Smashing the collar bone of Ryan Kerrigan, forcing him into early retirement.
I was not happy with the ballhandling miscue of Glennon, and the dodging miscue of Jenkins though. Those mistakes cost 1 point. Have to play better so it does not matter at the end of the season. The team is capable of that, so lets go from there, and use this loss as motivation.

I wont break down the game play by play, but i would like to adress some rumors here, and then move on.

1. Rumor of Pats strength and conditioning coach leaving.
- Totally untrue. This was a baseless speculation. The coach is still employed by the team, and attended the meetings he needed, and took care of the players. Even if he did a sloppy job, which he did not, he would not be responsible for the conditioning of Upshaw. Upshaw was injured in his first match as a Patriot, so the problem was with his conditioning as a Marauder.
Marauders coach implied the bad conditioning of Upshaw for the trade, but you have to ask him to confirm.
Also, there was no need to gather information on the Wolfksins, the countless practice games provided all the details. And i fully assume the Wolfkskins were prepared, too.

2. Accusation that game was fixed. (And teams agreed to play soft.)
- I mean did you watch the game? Pelts wanted to kill. They just could not execute on that part of their plan. On the other hand Pats hit hard, went after key players, and delivered. It was mostly Winston, i mean Clifton should do some bench press to improve his hits, but it was far from a pillow fight. Which brings up to the next point.

3. Rumors that Patriots sent out free tickets to the Guild of Furriers of Marienburg.
- Yes, that is true. They are working on a new banner right now, made of a skin of the wolf. If you wonder, the one who died in the game. This should be a reminder for all teams visiting in Broekwater how they will die if they seek contact.

4. Patriots staff having interest in Bandits strength and conditioning coach.
- Totally untrue. If needed, then will promote from within.
'The only agent the Patriots would use from Averheim are the Agents of Boswell and Turner. Pats scouting staff has no explanation why they are still employed, and GM office is very impressed by said agents work to find employment for their clients. But not as much as to trade for either player...'

5. Patriots allegedly agreed to avenge the losses of Snowflake
- True. Promised to coach Arcayn and Bigf to avenge that kill, and restore the pride of the KFCW. I heard coach Arcayn also did something similar to Vikings, although (for now) of smaller calibre. Bigf and Classics may follow suit.

Oh, the Classics. We have a game against them, which should be good. Time to prepare for the divisional rival. On to the Classics!
