“Magnificent game played in rainy conditions from start to end for the Vikings against an infinitely patient Elven Union coach who had some very hot injury dice thrown at him all through the game. All credit to him for not giving up even when having to line up first 7 vs 11, then in the end 5 vs 11 players on the pitch.

Elves did their magic, including superb AG5 players who treated the Vikings with the contempt they deserved and attempted to simply walk around them as if they weren't there. Equalizer was sweet, elf bullshit magic, the clumsy norsemen fumbled a pickup in their own TD zone (after an elf fell over on a second go-for-it into said zone, and an elf dodged, weaved and picked up the wet and slippery ball in the TD zone, in a tackle zone (of course), and scored.

The Vikings came within a short, curly blonde hair of clearing the pitch of elves completely at the very end of the game... coach had to make a supremely difficult choice... foul the single remaining elf and try to get him off the pitch and risk getting banned and only tying the game? Or score (completely safe play)?

The vikings were true to their own spirits and ganged up on the wounded elf, then put their leather boots square in his face... but sadly, only managed to stun him.

Even the bomber behaved well this game; from past experience I learned to never throw the bomb over the heads of the agile elves, or risk having it thrown back at me (humorous and fluffy but possibly very painful as well).

Note to self: get more tackle players to get Blodging Sidesteppers out of the way.

The vikings played dirty, as they are expected to once they were up on numbers... plenty of fouls (6 vs 0) and even more blocks (38 vs 13).
