Gobbos were actually set to take the lead 1-0 around turn 8 of the first half, after an excellent swoop at turn 4 by the doom diver, followed up by a diving tackler marking an ulf and the rest of the Norsemen caught up in a scrum, beating up on little green men.

Unfortunately, I miscounted and assumed I was out of reach when I wasn't... a lone Norseman made two go-for-its, blitzed the ball carrier with two dice and knocked him out cold... ball scattered all the way to the line of scrimmage when thrown in by the crowd, and there was precious little to be done about it.

Game saw another flight of the Diver in the second half, resulting in a fair 1-1... and they did have another shot at a gobbo throw in the end of the game, but failed.

Vikings put up their usual wall of Block... and the blocking game was won resoundlingly by the Norse: 50-22. Fouls, on the other hand, favored the gobbos 7-4. Sadly, despite lots of assists when fouling positionals, no vikings were permanently damaged or killed in the process. Similarly, the efforts of mighty blow trolls Rya and Lya were not rewarded.

Game ran long due to two (!) riots which turned the clock back.
