“The Champions squared off against some Chaos Renegades. Spartacus injured one of their linemen, Amazonos then killed another and Slibli blitzed another into the KO box. What a start! Their Av7 had crumpled. Plus Santo had the ball. Though the Mino did promptly charge and stun Slibli while the dirty player ko'd him in a gang foul. Still we caused more KOs, the blocking had gone well, and we comfortably scored.
Due to recoveries it was still 11 v 11 next drive and Slibli was out. Superiore blitzed and badly hurt their receiver skaven so they were under time pressure. The Troll and Gobbo tried for a TTM but alas just a fumble (with an eating narrowly avoided).
Second half we were playing 11 v 10. Their Dark Elf had the ball but we swarmed them. Their Mini being ko'd on a blitz attempt gfi fail really left them in trouble. Superiore was able to blitz the Elf, ko him, and then the scattered ball was retrieved by Pintxos to secure the win. A great performance from our lot.. But the furious Chaos finished off with a drive that resulted in the deaths of a skilled Saurus and a Skink! The Troll killed the Saurus. Our apo was too drunk to care. We stole the ball again, after another Chaos gfi fail, but Tentacles on the Ogre stopped us scoring again.
In the end we get out with a good win, but far from unscathed.”
