First game in the DLA after taking over management of the team.

Braves had a fantastic game, dominating the Warbirds from the start and finishing with a display of athleticism and finesse worthy of a high elf team.

First half was about the violence and physicality as perspiring humans clashed on the grass. Two of the Warbirds were left for dead (Jonathan after a vicious block from Matt Lago, and Donald after a gang foul spearheaded by team bad-boy Steven Means). Braves stalled it out for a late score, leaving but a turn for the Warbirds before half-time.

Shockingly, catcher Markus Wheaton was able to maneuver himself into position to weasel the ball into the end zone in a single turn, leaving the envious Braves standing with their mouths open.

Second half saw eleven players lining up on each side. A brutal positional game ensued, with the Braves keeping up the barrage of blocks and pushbacks. In the end, the ball lay untouched on the ground between glaring opponents daring each other to fetch it. Both coaches had resigned to accept a draw.

Then, John Halliwell sprang into action, showing off a technical skill that noone had expected before this day. He snatched the ball up, darted around the dumbfounded opponent, passed the ball over the head of the Warbirds' ogre to the waiting Dino, who caught it despite being overshadowed by the ogre, then ran it in for the victory.

Thanks to opponent coach for a friendly game.
