“And so the Mutes and Critters face off again for the third time. The Mutes decided to squeeze in a 1-0 victory against a Nurgle team in order to build up cash to replace a dead Dwarf along with one Blocker gaining a claw to deal with the troll menace. The Critters had 2 goblins out MNG and so Fisk decided to pay an extortionate rate for a mercenary goblin to build a bench.

The two teams met on a sweltering hot day. The dwarfs were confident they could handle it but their tiredness from an extra game and the added armour showed while the Critters looked fresh and cool in their noticeable lack of armour.

The Critters received and the Critter fans repaid the Mutes ones by hurling rocks onto the pitch. This allowed the Critters to move up the near side and run it in. 1-0.

The dwarfs set up hoping to equalise for half time but they looked kanckered already, their metal armour suits causing them bother in the intense heat and it showed as the Critters acted first and blitzed their way around the offensive line and allowed Rotrik to catch and run in for a second. 2-0

Dwarfs again set up and they are desperately needing the half time break as they wheeze and gasp their way onto the field. The Critters once again do the same and a blitz and a thrown goblin but pressure on the ball until it ended in the hands of Rotrik again who was yards from the endzone. This move cost them though as Znitch had to leave the field with a smashed collar bone, never to play Blood Bowl again.

A super dodge and blitz and stun from a hobgob prevented the Critters running in 3-0 at half time. It came at a cost though as the dwarfs collapsed at half time due to heat and 3 couldn't carry on.

As such the Dwarfs set up massively outnumbered but managed to get the ball into a cage as the Critters swarmed. The Bull held the ball firm and weathered a few blows until he finally managed to blitz himself free and run in.

Suddenly the game had changed. Finally the heat got to the Critters as many sat out and more couldn't play due to injury. The dwarfs outnumbered them massively and so set up and kicked. The ball was picked up by Kwikk and he moved towards his own endzone hoping to run out the clock with Skab covering him. The dwarfs advanced forcing Kwikk to make a break for it.

With full time coming the Mutes needed a big play but a miscommunication lead to the blitz going the wrong way and as such Kwikk held onto the ball for the victory.
