“This game was a fascinating study of streaks. First, his team was completely unable to dodge or blitz, despite agi 5, due to a mad streak of one's. This allowed me to score with ease. After some bobbling of the ball (and a gamble to take the ball by me which failed) he was able to punch the ball in for a score. Poor play on my part, I should've stopped him. But I have the ball, it's only turn 4, no biggie. Except now the streak of one's strikes me, negating all my attempts to dodge or blitz for a few turns. Just like that, his elves send the ball soaring for a second score, and suddenly I'm behind 2-1.

Now comes a streak of injuries: I bh'd a player of his, the very next turn he bh'd one of mine. Very next turn I bh one of his; you guessed it, next turn he bh'd one of mine. Next turn I bh yet another of his; next turn he...doesn't. But I do on my next turn, and by now things are getting ugly enough for me to sneak in a score to tie things up. He's so shorthanded on elves now it's not even funny (actually in a certain light it was hilarious, but you had to feel for the guy's efforts being in vain and all), esp when he bh's one of his own while trying to dodge out of multiple tz entrapment.

In the end, there just weren't enough darkies to prevent me from scoring the winning touchdown in turn 8. The fans loved the apparent return of the old Scions, winning matches and dominating the opponent physically. Personally, I think the best part was when all four of my skill rolls were without aging, including Menion's star-player roll at 51 spp! Bek is now the third STR 4/AGI 4 player in team history, nobody will miss next game, team strength is higher than team rating for the first time in a LONG time...life is great! Now if we can just get our ogre a couple skills before he gets killed as our TR keeps getting higher, we could very well have the core of the team reestablished solidly enough to break past the TR 200 barrier once again in a couple games!”
