#2 Gordon 'Flash' Lau – Dead (RIP)
With Duke missing the match with a hair appointment and Flash ominously dieing in the opening minutes of the match before being brought back to life with a quickly administered swig of our Special Brew, it took nerves of steel to sit out this nail biting matchup against a club that had sworn the destruction of all things Carlton since the very first day that they joined the SWL, the dreaded and dreadful Citadel Ancients. It'll be a long time before their name is mentioned in Carlton without a spit, a curse, and an obsene gesture...

Things weren't getting better much faster as Davros succumbed to a well timed block that saw him sidelined for the rest of the match. Flash was sacked metres from the line after a perfectly judged longbomb from Adam Yardley and the Carlton offence began to break down further.
The inexperience of many of Carltons second tier players really showed in the resultant scramble and the Ancients were ableto run away with the ball for a leisurely score. Nobody much was watching the ball though... they were watching the slow moving zombie fist of Chuckitin as it connected with the heart of the Carlton Team in a catastrophic collision that would change the face of Bloodbowl for some, change it forever... There was no special brew to save him this time. This time, the Flash was dead. Dead...

Yep. Flash was dead... or was he? The faithful had barely begun what for many would be a lifetime of grief when their broken hearts for one fleeting moment stopped dead. Flash was getting to his feet! He was gonna be alright!! Looks of grief turned to looks of joy before turning to looks of horror. Something wasn't right... something was... different.
"Braaaiiiinnss" groaned Flash.

You could see the conflict in the Carlton players as they took the field to see their former team mate line up against them. Having already taken quite a beating physically, they were ill prepared for this latest assault. A grim fury enveloped all but the most bone headed of the remaining players as they set about trying to right the wrong that had been done to their one time comrade. Zombies fell under the relentless but futile assault, but Flash was proving as nigh unstoppable in death as he had been in life. With cruelty he was given the ball by his new team, and with evil spite, he slammed it over the line!

As if this weren't enough, he then shuffled into defence on Carlton's counter attack, diving on young Carlton Blitzer Clayton as he sailed towards a consolation touchdown otherwise unopposed! With some spark of his former grace, the creature then bent down to fetch the scattered ball, teed up a pass to a waiting dogman and set up a play that would see the Ancients add another to the scoreboard!
The game ended 3-0, with the dead Flash certainly earning his first MVP for his new team...
