“Well, they were about overdue this game, and it was about as bad as a game can get.

It started with a thrown rock and a niggle before the first kickoff and then the first half caught the elves out on the field without their armour. It was a continual procession to the bins after that. Six casualties and several ko's by the half time siren and the norse should have had an easy win from there. But, as usual for the norsemen, they squandered their chances as they frenzied on the elves instead of going for the tries. Thankfully they had worn themselves out and failed to do any more damage.

With the norse doing their usual thing, the elves had chances to keep the lead, but despite managing to clear the ball several times, each time it scattered it ended up in the hands of a norseman. This included a turn 16 crowd push on the norse ball carrier which only resulted in a norse fan throwing the ball straight back into the hands of the Asgardian's thrower, easily in range for the try that equalised! Beaten by two fans (including the guy who threw the rock - but perhaps that was the same bloke!), how depressing. Not much you can do in a game like that and one of the most dismal outings the Vanguard have had.
