The unrelenting, match-long downpour seemed to dampen the girls' fiery spirits, too, as they very rarely were able to unleash any hard hits on the slippery and stodgy elves.

All that said, I'm VERY proud of the girls, holding a much more experienced and skilled team to a draw to retain a few chances in the league at large. The only thing a coach could want now is for them to recover from the team-wide sniffles and actually pick up a skill or two. Perhaps NEXT match will help them learn a thing or two...
