A complete absence of pows (we, we got one) from a host of two dice-blocks and obsessive snake-eyes turned our simple 2turntd into a desperate melee at our end of the pitch, as we barely scraped 30% luck.

But Nuffle has a sense of humour.

We all fell down, but suffered only the ocassional stun (our one POW ko'd the pass-blocker:)), and with 10 elves on the pitch you always have a chance.

Nuffle cursed us and cursed us, but then - thanks to the irreplacable (please don't age, please don't age) Malkus Mandae - we managed to strip the ball and somehow spirit it away up the pitch for a complex 6turn td.

The second half saw the luck even out. We started to actually pull some moves off and even knock a couple of the norse down. The ball bounced back and forth but the Ag5 boys again proved decisive in getting the ball away from danger - Dr Thranst was passing his little heart out.

2-0 up but there was time for the Nostrils to march through our team on the next drive, using their tackle wisely and pulling off an unstoppable TD to make it 2-1 to the Mentalists.

With two turns left we had a shot at extending the lead, but the multiple 2+ rolls w/o reroll proved too much and we settled for the fairer 2-1.

Fun game and DonTomaso really does deserve a victory. There's never been that much between us in any of the games - eventually my luck will run out - or Mandae will die, :(”
