“First bashy assignment survived!

What a brutal game. If it wasn't for a blinder of a start for the Wraithlords in the first two turns while the Gamers got warmed up, they would probably have been out of it. Then again - the Gamers didn't seem too interested in the pigskin. I suspect those tactics might help them stay alive against a bashy side, but against an elf unit, it probably makes little difference. An elf side is bound to usually play the ball, so there's no need to worry about copping too many casualties. If anything, things can go rapidly downhill if the other side decides to fight back.

On the same vein of thought, when it comes to offensively playing the ball - you really need the four or five extra elves to defend it instead of dallying by a hard hit scrimmage line. That made all the difference on the scoreline in this game.

First half and the start of the second he was looking to do much, but only ended up being constantly in the way (damn sidestep!). Then when we ignored him so we shouldn't have to listen to his taunts later on, he caught us blind and killed one of the lads while we were looking downfield for a try.

A stylish dodge into three tackle zones in turn 15 followed by the drawing out of a double skulls from the suzerain stopped the Wraithlords chance to get a fourth try as the full time siren blew.
