#2 Terry – Broken Neck (-AG)
Well 'Arry, it was a good hard match. Proper smashmouth, cold weather, ball control football. Not an elf in sight. the lads fought hard but at the end of the day we didn't take enough of them off the field and we didn't spread the play. We needed to use more of the field to keep their defence honest, but we let them pen in the cage.

We needed to score in the first half which we did not do. It was going to be tough after that.

A good if tense game. Good luck to Meetgrinder and Kaos Disunited!.

They could, go, all, the, way!

An early positive start by the Orcs backed up by plenty of 1 dice blocking that came off. Played switched to the lower half of the field with a cage, but the Orcs were soon to find their luck running out...

When the play was halted through sheer grinding down of the Dwarves, the half ended 0-0, and the Orcs were starting to feel the heat.

When the second half started, that heat turned up, and their numbers started to thin considerably, the rough n tumble Chaos Dwarves doggedly pounding their way up the field, thinning the orcs and getting stronger, though not without the occasional stumble. The Orcs had pretty much used up their luck with a series of optimistic blocks all game, but succeeded in only knocking one player out, who sat out the whole game from turn 1 (as far as I recall).

When it came to late on in the game, the orcs were getting desperate, and the Dwarves had the ball, stalling it to tease the Orcs. There were moments when coach Meetgrinder thought his stall might be caught, but then the Orcs finally ground to a halt, the score ran in, and the game effectively over.

Coach Koadah sportingly used his last move to simply pass the ball, rather than going for blocks and injuries, and I applaud him for that - a fair and sporting opponent, and unndeserving of the mauling his players took, but someone had to win (hate to think how many players would have been left after a replay!).

So, somehow, the Kaos United team march on, in no small way due to luck, and can only watch and wait to see who their opponents will be next. The team is still weakened (down one Dwarf) not that lucky (still 1 RR) and vulnerable (no apothecary), and can only rely ontheir blocking prowess to ensure their continued success.
