Wolbum is one of those few lucky Goblins who has managed to cheat death on numerous occassions. Before he joined the Goonz, Wolbum had worked alongside a number of other Goblin teams and was presumed dead on multiple occassions after being eaten by the team's trolls during a desperate toss to the end zone. His nickname "The Magnificent" originates from his miraculous ability to somehow survive the ordeal and traumatic events of going through the troll digestive system and returning to the pitch a few weeks later.
This is surprisingly the first Goblin team Wolbum has not been designated as Troll ammunition and as a result of this, probably the longest time he has ever spent on one team. Also as a result of being eaten by trolls so often, this has turned Wolbum into a rather paranoid Goblin, which has dramatically increased his running skills and possibly also attributed to his long life span.

Wolbum met his end (Once again) on the fields of Blood Bowl. Fortunately for him this time it was not for him to go through the digestive system of a troll, but instead to have himself brutally murdered by a Norse player. Regardless it is quite likely he will be returning to the field due to some qwirk of faith or perhaps some kind of divine intervention.
