Captain's Log, Norfi Quicklegs, 2.22.01.185025 We find ourselves trapped on a young, strange world, without the supplies we need to power our Timeship back home. We have found materials for sale on this world which our Engineers can use to accomodate us, but the locals value these materials highly, even without the ability to unlock the latent power contained. This "warpstone" does not have quite the same attributes as our usual power source, but Drithtuner assures me that it will be adequate to get us home, even if the ride is "a bit bumpy". We need a way to obtain currency with which to trade with these primitive beings. We have found this odd athletics match they call "football" as a way to obtain what we need. We traded most of our extra supplies for the equipment we need to participate in this event. We have modified the cargo deck of our grounded ship into a stadium of sorts, in which to hold our games. Thousands of the sentient beings here were attracted by the strange sight of our ship, and were willing to give us currency to attend. |
