When the Chaos Gods marched to war with their minions, some were left behind to safeguard their return. Not that they weren't confident in their ultimate victory; rather, it was prudent to leave some trusted lieutenants behind to prevent a possible uprising by slaves while the masters were occupied elsewhere... ...At least, that's what the generals told Capt Noss and his hand-picked band of militiamen. Personally, he thinks they simply feared his prowess, and didn't want him showing them up on the field of battle before the Lord Khorne himself. Some would have disobeyed and marched to war anyway (as many did who were told to remain behind, never to be seen again). But fury doesn't control this minotaur--HE controls IT!! So the militia kept all slaves in line until, one by one, the defeated returned snarling to the Chaos Grounds. Laughing to himself, Capt Noss knew he had a golden opportunity to show up these "generals" and make a name for himself in the eyes of Khorne. So when the call came out for a bloodbowl tournament to find the future leaders of the next invasion, Khorne's Militia was the first to step forward. We won't be left behind a second time!
