'True Blood' Bowlers

The 'True Blood' Bowlers are strongly linked to the Blood Dragon line. The lack of thralls in the team suggests not only that the Captain, Ecoutan Vex, is a stickler for the martial ways but also that he and his squad have been cured of the supposed insatiable bloodlust which blights his kin. It is rumoured that the first Grand Master of the Blood Dragon Order was able to perform just such a feat and consequently rid himself of vulnerability to sunlight. It has been noticed that the Bowlers also proudly stride out onto the pitch in all conditions, showing utter disregard for the blazing heat of the sun during the summer months.

The team itself consists of a group of Blood Dragon Knights who have been recognised as being the mercenary unit known by most as 'The White Wolves' due to their distinctive skin tones and gleaming canine teeth. Their inhuman abilities on the battle field transfer well to the Blood Bowl stadium were strength and speed are highly valued.

What is also carried into the stadium is the team's unswerving code of honour. Often a players will dive headlong into the crowd in order to prevent a damsel being mugged or a peasent boy being used as a half-time snack. This dedication to their fans earns the Bowlers a healthy following, even if it does mean they can often be out-numbered by two to one when making a play.

It has been whispered in various dugouts throughout the league that the BBL is annually given a hefty donation (along with an equally hefty threat) to allow the all-vampire team to participate. It is not known precisely where this influence comes from but rumours are abound of a figure matching the description of a certain Reiksguard Captain slinking into the BBL's headquarters whilst carrying large, conspicuous bags with 'this is not gold' written on them. The mystery continues to be investigated by the finest drunken watch members that money can buy.

The repeated consternation of generals when a well paid unit of Blood Dragon heavy cavalry doesn't turn up to crush worthless Empire scum has also continues unabated.
