I would like to pay respect to PeteW, from whom I stole the idea for this team. I shall be developing the team in a themed fashion :D

<b>Fluff:</b>
Its the comic book event of the DECADE! The first ever Spawn Marvel crossover!

<b>Issue #1</b>
<i>Rupture</i>

In a nigh on apocalyptic battle between Spawn and The Redeemer the two impossibly powerful warriors somehow created a rift in reality! As the very essences of heaven and hell collided many universes felt the terrible effects of their fury... One of those being the universe that belongs to none other than the X-Men and The Avengers, on the earth designated as Earth 616.

The X-Men, The Avengers, Spawn and The Redeemer were dragged into a parallel universe not seen by anyone in many many millenia... A place where orcs, elves and dwarves wage eternal warfare alongside the empire of man...

But that isn't the worst of it... The hell spawned leader of the armies of damnation awoke to find himself in a room full of mutants and superheroes... Surrounded by armor that looked incredibly similar to that worn by american football players back in their respective universes.

Now the unlikeliest of allies must fight for their survival in a brutal sport known only as Blood Bowl! Can Spawn, The Avengers and the X-Men work together and find a way to escape this dangerous arena? Why the hell is Deadpool around? Did anyone even write that guy into the script? And what happened to The Redeemer? Read on to find out!

<b>Issue #2</b>
<i>Blood Bowl</i>

The cross dimensional group of superbeings lose their first two matches, and quickly realise that they stand a far better chance of surviving if they win.

The games brutal nature quickly catches up on the team, both Cable and Captain America learning the brutal reality of the so called sport, taking injuries severe enough to sideline them for a match each.

The team struggles to get to grasp with their latest challenge, apart from Spawn who seems to take the pitch like he was born for it, shattering bones and scoring touchdowns with equal efficiency.

Two wins later and things are starting to come together. The sport is beginning to ignite a passion in the hearts of our heroes.

Beating their third opponents so soundly they conceeded, the team has found itself getting stronger than ever. What's more the shambling, defeated form of the Redeemer has made his way to the teams camp. Lost, seperated from God, the Redeemer decided to ally himself with the ramshackle team of heroes, putting his differences with Spawn aside, deperate to get home. How long this truce will last, however, is questionable...

The problem is, if they are so concentrated on fighting it out on the pitch how will they find a way home? Can their respective worlds survive without them? And how long will it be until someone pays the ultimate price?

<b>Issue #3</b>
<i>Malediction: Dying Flames</i>

The team hangs its head in sorrow, for finally the true price of the terrible sport they have found themselves forced into is realised.

Sunfire, crippled as his knee is smashed, is then torn to shreds by the ravenous fans of the bloody game.

The worst, however, is yet to come. And his name is Malebolgia.

His general is out of his sight, his Hellspawn is not where he is meant to be... Punishment is due.

Spawn, growing in power, suddenly found himself stunted, weakened, his powers waning...

Can the team survive with their most powerful player thus deprived of his true abilities? Can Spawn find a way to fight through Malebolgia's spite? And will the team ever find a way home?

And why does Deadpool keep putting whipped cream in Captain America's pants?!?

<b>Issue #4</b>
<i>Unknown Nature</i>

The rift is growing, seeping throughout reality, its apocalyptic genesis ripping through the fabric of space.

The team is shocked, and in Deadpool's case dissappointed, to find Captain America gone. Where is not known. Has he been sucked back to the earth he called home, or to somewhere different, somewhere thus far undiscovered?

The team is gradually becoming more and more potent on the pitch, some of our heroes even learning to do things with their abilities that they would have previously thought impossible.

However, all is not well. The rift's insidious purpose has yet to be unvieled, and the true extent of its reach is yet unrealised... And on a distant battlefield, deep in the northern wastes, an ancient, hell born creature battles to find the voice screaming in his head, a voice from his future.

It was only a matter of time until he found him. It was only a matter of time until he found the Hellspawn that had brought him here.

<b>Issue #5</b>
<i>Beginning Of The End</i>

Storm. Killed instantaneously.

Iron Man. Crippled and left to bleed to death on the sidelines.

Cable. Broken in half before being devoured by ravenous fans.

Deadpool. Mutilated beyond the point where his healing factor could recover him.

Four heroes, destroyed by the cruel sport of Blood Bowl. And with every second, Malebolgia drains more and more of Spawn's power.

Four heroes who will never walk on their earth again. Tonight the Marvel Universe doesn't known the price it has paid, but it is only a matter of time until it will be dropped violently into mourning.

Four heroes gone forever.

One team, fuelled with rage, their team mates laying broken around them as finally they realise that this is now their life... And vengeance is due.

And still the rift expands.

And still the dark wanderer approaches.
