Elsinore Maniacs are a Blood Bowl team owned by the <a href=http://www.fumbbl.com/teams/255707.jpg>Elsinore Brewery</a href>, famous for it's fungus-enhanced 'Strange Brew', a popular lager in some Old World circles, especially among the Norse and Snow Trolls of the Great White North. The Maniacs are an unusual BB team as it's owner, Pum Elsinore, actually plays for the team. (edit: now retired) He inherited the team (and the brewery) from his recently-deceased father. The team is not without its drama however....Pum's uncle Claude also plays for the team and is romantically involved with Pum's recently-widowed mother. This is Claude's attempt at gaining control of both the brewery and the team. Hopefully this tension won't tear the squad apart, but we'll see. And there are rumors that the Brewery's head brewmaster, Brewmeister Smith, (a Troll of all things!) has some nefarious schemes of his own, though nobody is sure this is true as Trolls are known to be too stupid to hatch any nefarious plots on their own. In darker places it is whispered that it's Hashut himself that controls the brewery and that the brewery's famous lager has some 'mystical' properties that cause those who imbibe to fall under the God's influence. Also of note, the brewery and team training facilities, located in the Chaos Dwarf outpost of Daemon's Stump, are right next to the Chaos Dwarf Institute of the Criminally Insane (which is saying something if you know anything about Chaos Dwarfs). The good part of this is Pum doesn't have to go very far to find recruits for his team! <b>Hobbiton XXV-A </b> The boys went 0-3-3 and are still in search of their first win. This blood bowl thing is harder than they thought. Maybe they should stick to what they do best, drinking beer! <b>Brewmeister Smith joins the team!</b> <a href=http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&player_id=6398107>Brewmeister Smith</a href>, the Troll responsible for the recipe of Elsinore Brewery's famous Strange Brew lager decided to join the team in hopes it would spur the team onto their first victory! <b>Maniacs get their first win!</b> The Elsinore Maniacs finally got their first win in their 9th career game. The victory came against a High Elf team called <a href=http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=team&op=view&team_id=529693>Head In the Clouds</a href> "It's been a bit of a struggle up to this point but the team is really starting to gel and we feel like this is just a sign of what's to come for this team," said team owner (and player) Pum Elsinore. "Expect to see our name in the W column a lot more from here on out." <a href=http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=group&op=view&group=2715>Antipodal Regional Shield 06/09 Participant</a> Eliminated in 2nd round <a href=http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=group&op=view&p=tournaments&group=2715> OCCS Antipodal Regional Shield 07/09</a> Eliminated in 2nd round Despite suffering 3 SI and 1 RIP against a tough Khemri team whose coach's CR > 170, we managed to force Overtime and got lucky enough to win the coin toss when neither team could score. Tough match to recover from for 2nd round where we lost to a healthy Necro team. <b>OCCS Reeborc Stomp IV!: Summer Slaughter</b> Finished open play with a 4-3-2 record.
