| Starting out a new team, and getting 4 niggling injuries in the first game, and another two in the second (which, I played with six players, being lucky and meeting a complete beginner, tying the game) some people might give up. Playing on though, it started going better, although those niggles still keep coming... What really kept me going was the fact that a catcher got an extra movement, although he did, of course, get a niggling injury. and, my other catcher too, on his second ageing roll... Then I had my worst game ever, against chaos. He got the nice little handicap Virus, which made me set up a total of five players. After getting two BW, and one SI, one knocked out, my two remaining players didnt quite manage to put up a fight.. vs Brooklyn Blitzer Bandits: After a heroic leaping blitz by Pelivathar, knocking the ballcarrying skink into the spectators, one brave fan threw the ball over half the field, letting Liuvareth score a last second TD! Great coach, who didnt push me into the stands for the hell of it in last turn, when he could have. =) Recommendable coach to play he is, Homer-Simpson. Doh! This is a day of sadness. The heroic Phantar got his second niggling injury. He will still play for the team, but his one-turn scores will be missed in the games where he wont show up... And then again, at the next SPP roll. Phantar now has three niggles... Still, he is worth it, when he does play... Disaster struck. First my dear thrower died going for it, then in the next game Tutankhaten did too. Plummetting from 210 TR and 180 strength, down to 160/117 hurts my soul. Phantar is probably being retired soon, as he is half the team almost in value. Then I will be stuck with 6-7 guys only... The Birch Bashers are retiring. Once Phantar left the team, fans started too, which made the situation impossible. Some of the younger lads from Birchton are rumored to be starting a team though, so Blood Bowl will be continued to be played in the Birchwood. |
