Akendorf is located in the Border Princes and is currently ruled by Lord Durant as part of an electoral monarchy system. They have a population of approximately 800 and have an economy centred around timber, woodcarvings, hogs and trapping.

When Durant wanted to form the town's blood bowl team he turned to the Ogre labourers who worked in the timber trade. None of the humans would train with them after the first few accidents, so the Ogres recruited fearless wood sprites to fill out the team.
