Lustria is hot damp and sweaty, not an ideal combination for Bloodbowl, but that has never deterred it's inhabitants. Crowds flock from miles around to its towering ampitheatres where it is common to see swashbuckling pirateers sharing a cone of honeyed ants with fierce Amazon warriors. The popularity of the native leagues has led to various ill-fated attempts at succcess abroad,but thus far the Old World has proved a tough nut to crack.

However that may all be about to change. Deep in the darkest part of the Lustrian jungles renowned Slann Mage Priest Enidx Quetzablytonquatl may have discovered the remedy for all those years of failure. Previous attempts at bloodbowl domination have centred either on the Slann's renowned mystical magic, or their innate ability at genetic engineering. Never,till now, have the two been combined. Taking magically enhanced DNA from celebrated Amazonians "the Lustrian Lasses" and modifying it in the sacred spawning pools of Quaxacotl, has achieved startling results and those results are about to be unleashed on the rest of the world. Currently being nutritionally enhanced with a diet consisting of ham rolls washed down with lashings of ginger beer the Lizardmen of Lustria are ready to make their move.

Conscious of previous false dawns (who can forget the ill-fated trip to the Albion Bowl by Kroxigor team Lean Green and not Particularly Mean) Enidx has taken the decision to be cautious and so the team's foray into Old World Bloodbowl will be marked by a trip to the annual OBBA 5- a - side competition. Once they have swept all before them attention will be turned to the full version of the game, or plan "Back to the Drawing Board " as it is being dubbed back home in Lustria.
