Ok- so Games Workshop says they're "Norse", but if you know enough about 7th century England, then you'll know the Angles, Saxons, and Jutes were culturaly similar to the group that would later come to be known as Vikings.

Descending from the from the dark Chaos lands of the Northern waste (namely Suffolk) come the mighty Sutton Hoo Scourge!

Feasting, fighting, pilaging, ravishing, and then some more fighting. Oh and don't forget a sacrifice or two to Wodan (Khorne? Tzeentch? Maybe even Slaanesh, but deffinately not Nurgle). [1] Then drift off to sleep in an meade induced stupor, only to wake up and do it again!

Such is the day in the life of a Anglo-Saxon warband. But what if you wanted something more? You can only pilage the same Romano-Britons for so long before it looses it's kick and they're out of gold. So what's left to pursue? Is there anything left against which to test your mettle? WHY, THERE'S BLOOD BOWL OF COURSE! Yes the way to Blood Bowl fame is paved with the rent bones of countless opponents- especially halflings since they squish pretty easily.

So know you have the makings of the Sutton Hoo Scourge, a team bent on woton death and destruction all for the sake of sex, drugs, and rock-n-scoalds! A group led by the Wuffing himself, King Rædwald, who not only can throw a spear through his neighbor at 100 paces, but can also throw a football just as long and as accurately. His two able bodied receivers compliment his ability with their amazing dexterity. To add some well needed muscle to the team, the Scourge is joined by three documented psychopaths- Thrydwulf the Mad, Bældæg the Insatiable, and Sigbert the Bald (please don't stare, it makes him very irratable). The team is rounded out by the addition of some of King Rædwald's most fearless (and expendable) men. They have already generated a loyal following of fans in their local league, and have now joined the ranked division of FUMBBL to participate in even more feasting, fighting, pilaging, ravishing, and of course more fighting!



[1] I wouldn't call Wodan/Odin an evil Chaos god, but Games Workshop is in a way.
