When a freak warp storm pulled a group of Monks, Church Officials, Royal Justices of the Peace, Serfs and Tradesmen from Medieval England into the world of Warhammer the stunned humans quickly put their skills and knowledge to the best use possible: Playing BLOOD BOWL! The jovial Monks, befitting their divine statures and protections, took the best armors available and became Blitzers. The Officials, as befits their constant exhortations to the heavens, became Throwers. The Serfs and Tradesmen, as with all laborers, bear the brunt of the game as Linemen. The Royal Justices, the Justiciars, having spent so much time traveling from shire to shire catching criminals, naturally became Catchers. When their first Ogre died, falling over his own feet and killing himself on his own spikes, the Blitzville Ballers took it as a sign that they should refrain from violence and concentrate on playing good fundamentals in order to win. Since then, they've not engaged the services of a new Ogre and will not do so. They've also decided not to foul or crowdpush, unless forced to by very violent individuals. Such is their conviction that they will not even give gratuitous blocks at the end of the game. |
