Fly like a butterfly. In the beginning.. The Roo Boxers regard with disdain the overweight black orc thugs common to orcish sides, and instead play with speed and agility as their chief tools...wearing down their opposition with a multitude of lightning jabs. After three games the boxers have achieved something none of my previous teams have managed: starting a game with more than 10 players. There IS a reason for Orcs huh ? And then...insult and injury.. Game 4 was a big win to the Boxers until pc trouble prevented my opponent from completing the game...but apparently not from completing another game with that team soon after despite an agreement to complete being in place. So the Game 4 you see instead feature the Boxers getting beaten up by a wood elf team (yes you read that right) who opened their account with a fatality in turn 1 which the Boxer's cornerman was unable to stitch up. Game 5 followed suit except it was Skaven this time: a multitude of hits on their AV7 produced not so much as a stun: to my 1 dead, 2 BH, many ko'd. So Black Orcs have been invited to Box with the Boxers: apparently just being an Orc with AV9 and block is not enough. After their 9th match the boxers (132/137) have only four players from their starting lineup left having been victimised by a suprising run of primarily AV9 fatalities: two linemen, a star blitzer, a black orc on his 2nd game and the obligatory AV8 thrower. This is surprising because the welterwieghts..err..goblins who give the team their vim and vigour haven't been so much as scratched. Yet. At game 15 they head for the unranked division - the boxers fans are too few to mention and their coach has gotten a tad bored with them too. |
