| The Fayre Playaz are a group of gentlemanly BB players. You have their guarantee that they will not foul an opponent unless that opponent fouls first! (And then watch out!) This team came up about because I am sick and tired and fed up to fook with useless elves that cant do fook all. Might as well get a team that cant do anything but dont die as much, eh? Gme 1: Hull FC got a bit of a kicking off the dice more than these guys. If not for decent luck on my part game would have been tied I guess. Good sport, good player. Game 2: Tight and blocky, opponent had all the luck 1st half, most in the 2nd but only TD came from an intercept pass. I decided to score rather than mess about and that proved to be the winning TD, the 2nd half bogged down with nothing much happening save blocking. Never seen quite so many 1db come off in one game on opponents part. Guess thats the edge what everyone having Block skill gives you... Game 3: Inability to pick the ball up and a mistake with my covering left me open and stopped me scoring. 2nd half managed to get within 1 dodge of scoring, failed that. Opponent got a beating first half, never really failed anything in 2nd half, every dodge, just about every block, whereas mine were skulls, fail to pick ball up again, couldn't injure anyone. Thats the way it goes I guess. Game after game after game... Game 4: this was so slow and boring I just wanted to fall asleep. The opponent had all the luck when it mattered, I blocked successfully lots of times but hardly scored an injury, so waste of time. 2-0 2nd came from a blitz and some nice luck. I guess the opponent used his luck well but to be honest my eyes were shut at the time. Zzzzzzzz. Game 5-7: continuing a theme of the opponent getting astounding luck, and me getting total crap. What use is AV9 if your AV7 opponent scores more cas than you? The Elves in G7 were played very well but failed nothing. No turn ends from failures, whereas my guys continued to suck and blow. The dice are crap, useless, unfair and wrong, but I will soldier on with my team of losers. Game 8: The fine blend of shite rolls on my part and the opponent doing no wrong continues, with only 1 end turn from an opponent failing something in the 1st half, and 1 in the 2nd. He decided to mess about instead of going for the score and the game ended 1-1. I didn't deserve the draw as everything i tried pretty much failed apart from some 'dont give a shit' dodging, but I'll take anything I can get in this current awful run. Game 9: nice luck, decent play scored the first TD in turn 2 for them, after that they didn't really fail anything all game. Hell, even the mummy picked up the bouncing ball without a RR then ran it home whilst opponents 1db and -2db with me choosing succeeded time after time. Shit happens. Game after game after game after... Game 10: Usual crap, different game. Luck is so much of a factor it's untrue, but when you dont have it the game is made easy for the opponent. To be fair he played well, rode his luck and everything of importance came off for him. Towards the end of the second half I was tempted to foul the crap out of his guys, but that's not what I, or this team, or ANY of my teams, are about, so I took the beating on the chin and went to bed, to cry myself to sleep again :P Game 11: Annihalated the opponents who had NOTHING go for them all game. Literally smashed them to bits - never done anything like that before. The 2-1 scoreline was down to the fact they had not many players left on the field at the end... Nasty to play, but I've had that sort of treatment before, so I guess what comes around goes around. Sorry if it's any consolation... :( Nightcrawlers left with little choice but to retire... And one win in 9 games suggesting I should choose my games with more care instead of playing anyone who offers, even if they do 'Lol' at me ... Game 12: played woodies who danced through my TZ like they weren't there, but when I caught up with them smashed them to bits. Not enough to win the game but what happened later was bad - 2 age rolls, two bad results - a niggle and -1av, so not a great game and one I lost, to boot :( Game 13: Got fouled to fcuk by a team that had everything go their way with the dice all game, and mine were worthless. AV8 isn't THAT hard to knock out or injure in some way! Game 14: At least the D'Elves were clean this time. Pretty much every block, every dodge, every GFI they tried came off, and apart from a flurry of BH, and 2 SI I pretty much wasn't in the game. Every attempt I made to get down the field ended in failure, end turn, usual crap, plus a pile o skulls, reroll, then more skulls. Amazing how this client really does stack the dice, game after game... D'OH! Game 15: Guy was a bit of a whiner. Higher CR than me, and team was better, but down on players. He fouls my troll, fair enough, I foul him back. I kill his BOB, he whines into overdrive and concedes the game. I admit I do my fair share of grumbling but I only conceded once when I was going to retire the team anyway and the dice were a joke. Some people take it a litle too seriously I think... And then he retires a 43 game team, one he put onto field understrength when he knew they needed a recover game and would have been fine the next game... <b>Average Luck after 15 games: 58.1%, opponents 53.46%</b> Ok, now I KNOW the luck score is bullshit! So many games where I let in 3, 4 tds and my luck was better? Bleh. Read those particular match reports or see the replays :S Played a game against some dubious unbeaten Ogres coached by Aries3 after this - I couldn't see why no one had beaten them in 12 games - just nail the goblins and you're home free. Then came the first game drop with me 1-0 and several cas up. Restarted, then came the problem with no being able to move his ball carrier. Result? Game abandoned, me pissed off, and the unbeaten record remains. You see why I'm dubious? |
