Wozza started his Whirlwinds with one key principle in mind - survivability. As such they started off with a highly unspecialized lineup, and Wozza stuffed the ranks with some unpaid former footmen from his old regiment to save money and increase the headcount (not that he's particularly adept at matters involving counting). Thankfully, within a few games they were able to maintain a 0 injury roster, hire on the extra blocking power they needed and are now in a position where the Whirlwinds can really start building up the squad, instead of hurriedly replacing dead and injured players. Wozza doesn't fancy his chances at actually winning the Offord Invitational (although at the time of writing they aren't out of contention by any means), but is happy if his lads pull off an entertaining win every now and then. -- Edit: The league has been blown WIDE OPEN by a string of wins and Doug's Diggers' stumble against the Radiants. It's a 3 horse race to the finish but things could still all change! |
