Cowburgh Distillers

Once upon a time, the city council of Cowburgh (gaelic: "goblin town", pronounced "coob'ra") decided to drum up tourism by starting a blood bowl league. The goblins smashed and killed each other with abandon, having little regard for the actual rules of the sport. The league started up an "all-star" team to send off to tournaments against the rest of the world. Some wag of a scout for the NWFL on a whisky tour during his holiday thought it would be hilarious to see the goblins play against "real teams."

The city council commissioned a commemorative whisky in honor of the team, bringing together the finest whisky minds in Cowburgh to make a very special beverage. The casks will be opened when the Distillers win the NWFL Championship. Here's hoping that whisky ages well!

After posting a .500 record in their first training camp and pre-season (1-4-1), the Distillers management decided that it was time to upgrade the team from a Goblin team to a Troll team. Ripper Bolgrot is on a game-to-game contract to help out the front line.
