Krurger was born the son of a cobbler in Lower District, the most unfortunate district of Ryder's Cove. Criminals, smugglers, occasional famine; Lower District residents weren't cursed, but they felt that way most times.
When Krurger's father died, the family's only weapon had passed to him: a bright-bladed halberd that was in remarkable condition considering its age. Krurger, having just come of age, did not know what to do with his life. He certainly didn't want to become a cobbler, which had been his father's trade. But he needed to provide for his mother, so when the city guard approached him asking if he would lend the halberd to the city's armory, Krurger agreed -- but only if he went with it.
Since that day, Krurger is a permenant member of Ryder's Cove guard and a highly appreciated one by the Guildmaster Council.

The wilderness had both shielded and thwarted the traders and merchant in the port city of Ryder's Cove for generations. The wilderness impassable barrier made exploration, trade, and conquest very difficult -- if not downright impossible. Only the ocean provided the necessary means by which the city and its occupants survived and then flourished. Achemin knew this, of course. He had been warned about traveling in the wilderness, but he had also heard the stories -- stories of other civilizations and riches beyond one's belief past the forest. He knew of stories of the fabled Watchtower from which one could see the entire forest and what takes place there. He therefore ignored the warnings, abandoned his family, and slipped away one night under the blanket of darkness to look for fortune.
He was able to get in contact with other populations, and came back to town to help establish new trading routes across the forest.
But none know if he ever found the Watchtower and what eventually was in it...

Background
The history of Kuska is a strange one.
He was a slave at the shipyard harbors, used for heavy physical work and tied down with huge chains. The life of the slave was sad, but not a bad one. Kuska could easily bear the work and his master feed him well.
All changed a night of a couple months ago. It was late and a magic melody woke him. A minstrel was singing, but he was not alone on the wharf: a few halflings were approaching him in the shadows with glowing knifes... The rage overcome Kuska, he broke the chains and slaughtered the scoundrels.
That minstrel, well, he was Philden. He paid Kuska's master to get him free, and since that day Philden and Kuska are inseparable like Siamese twins.
In game effects: Kuska and Philden will only play together and if one leave the team for any reason, the other will leave too.

Every ship has a captain and the Ryder's Surfer is no exception.
One of the few member of the crew and of the ship's company not to be a trader, Jaganzo is highly appreciated by guildmasters anyway. He has outstading navigation and leadership abilities that lead the traders designate him as the captain of the most important expeditions. When it was time to setup the exploration of new commercial routes, the guildmasters had no doubt and asked him to take the role. For his leadership, Jaganzo also took the role of the thrower of the Blades.
In game effects: the first skill will be Leader (stats/double are an exception)

Philden never felt good about becoming a trader like his father. He has an unusual musical talent and tried to make a living by performing in the multitude of tavers and inns in Ryder's Cove. Unfortunately, patrons seemed to appreciate drinks and prostitutes more that music and poems and he was the target of throwing bottles in several occasions.
He then started to look for the opportunity to leave for a distant place with some ship, hanging around the docks for a cheap boarding. But ship captains were looking for stout men to do the hard work or rich merchants paying an high fee...
Downhearted, ready to a future of charity, he started to spend the night alone, playing is lute by the harbors. It was in one of this night that a giant saved his life. He decided to spend the last money in freeing Kuska from slavery and since that day Philden and Kuska are inseparable like Siamese twins.
In game effects: Kuska and Philden will only play together and if one leave the team for any reason, the other will leave too.

Hinthik is the main officinal and medical herbs merchant of Ryder's Cove. The opportunity to play in a Blood Bowl is a unique opportunity for him to show his merchandising and to gather information on new trading goods by examining what other races are using to heal simple and serious injuries.

Only a young boy, he went to the Overwater Stadium to see the new Blood Bowl team of Ryder's Cove and to do it free he decided to serve as a ball boy.
But the Wanderers were short in numbers after the match and in hurry to leave for the Shadowspire tournament, so he quickly find himself hired in the team without saying anything about it...

After Rirni death, the Guildmaster Council decided it need another official representative in the local Blood Bowl team. The choosen one was Theduin, another clerck of the Council, renowned for his fluent and smart talk. With so many stranger running around Ryder's Cove preparing for the first tournament, he may be the right person to try to establish friendly relationship with some of them.
But Theduin was not prepared for such a physical challenging sport and he is quite frightened of injuries...
In game effects: first two skill will be Wrestle and Fend, bar double.
