Background

Rationale
Like all Secret League Dwarf teams the linemen are start without tackle. It is not needed and Dwarves are still one of the best races without being so overloaded with starter skills that leave no choice for their development.

The team design principle of being focused around Runners dates back to Blood Bowl Magazine 5 in the early 2000s in which some optional rosters were created for the different Peaks. Slayer teams, and so on. Eight Peak teams were Runner centric, so I have taken this idea and expanded on the themes. The reason Eight Peaks are focused on Runners dates back to their regions history and geography. The mountain range has eight peaks, each with a stronghold situated atop the peak, in this world each containing a Blood Bowl stadium. But the majority of the region is made up of catacombs, the longest network of mines found throughout The World. The Dwarves in this region are made up of many clans, and runners/messengers would traverse the mines delivering important messages between the clans to stop any Skaven or Goblin attacks. The most fleet footed and dextrous Dwarves come from this region.

The naming convention for each of the different runners comes from notable Clans found in these Peaks. Each of them brining a different way of moving the ball for the team based on their clans unique training methods. Flinthand being the best retriever. Bronzefist Runners most used to being in danger, so taking hits and holding the ball securely or dumping it off to a team mate, and Ironfist Runners being the most offensive, breaking through opposing lines of defence.

Like all Dwarf teams Eight Peak teams are still pretty hardy and slow. But they are the fastest Dwarf team and have a real focus at moving the ball forward with a clear structured pattern of play.
