FFB Division

Summary

The FFB division uses the latest CRP Blood Bowl rules as closely as Kalimar's FFB client curently allows. See the FFB Client forum for latest status

How to play

See the FFB Client section of details on using Kalimar's client. A marked difference to coaches used to other systems has been that you have to select a pass or hand off action instead of having the option of doing either as part of a normal move action.

Differences from LRB 4

Rosters

You'll notice a number of differences when running a team in this division. The rosters have been updated, notably Norse, Khemri, Nurgle and Dark Elves, while Necromantic and High Elves have had a few tweaks to positionals. You'll also note some brand new rosters - Slann, Chaos Pact and Underworld Creepers. These don't actually appear in the official CRP rules, but were approved for use in LRB 6 and are thus considered by the Blood Bowl community as legitimate rosters.

New Skills and loss of Traits

You'll notice there are a host of new skills - Grab, Fend, Wrestle, Disturbing Presence and the undesirable Decay to name a few. All the traits have been changed to become skills, and may have been powered down to allow the transition - Stand Firm no longer allows players to remain standing when a player fails a dodge, Foul Appearance has lost the ball handling disruption (this was split off and became Disturbing Presence). Some skills have been overhauled - Diving Catch, Extra Arms, Big Hand, Horns and others have received boosts. Teams with access to mutations should note that Claws is also slightly worse than under LRB4 but now stacks with Mighty Blow. Razor Sharp Claws has been entirely removed.

Off-field

Most of the changes in the ruleset have happened for off-field activity. This is most noticible in the dissappearance of Aging (rejoice, one and all!), the Inducement system, and the Journeymen rule - the former means the fate of players is decided on-pitch, and the latter two make things fairer on the field by making even matchups always possible.
