IRC Auto Join Configuration

Here's a short tutorial on how to automatically join a channel once connected to the chat server with mIRC or HydraIRC.

mIRC

• From the menu, go to: "Favorites -> Organize Favorites".

• Click "Add" to add the new channel you want to configure, or "Edit" if you already have it on the list.

• If you're adding a channel, just type in the name in the appropriate box, select the "Join on connect" option and then click OK.

• If you're editing a channel previously entered, just make sure "Join on connect" is check marked and click OK.

• Click OK again once you're back to your favorites and you're done!

HydraIRC

• From the menu, go to: "Options -> Prefs...".

• Select the "Command Profiles" section from the treeview.

• In the textbox under "Command Profiles", type: irc.fumbbl.com_OnLoggedIn

• Click "Add"

• Select the newly added "irc.fumbbl.com_OnLoggedIn" from the Profiles list.

• In the "Commands" text-area, type the following: /join #whatever, #fumbbl, #etc...

• Click OK and you're done!
