Installing the programs you need

Java

Go to http://java.sun.com/j2se and download the latest Java Runtime Environment (JRE) and install it. Note that you most likely want the J2SE JRE without any NetBeans cobundle. Most people have better luck downloading the offline installation instead of the online installer. The file should be roughly 15MB.

An alternative way of installing is to go to http://www.java.com and press the "Get it Now" button.

Java Blood Bowl (SkiJunkie?'s client)

Now go to the JavaBBowl homepage or a mirror and download the latest major beta (6.0 at the moment). Unzip the contents of this file to an easy to remember place.

Next, download the latest patch, which should be named something like "Public Beta Patch 6.x" and unzip the contents of this file to the same folder you used for the previous file. Tell it to overwrite all files when it asks.

Now you should have everything you need to run the client. Windows users can start the application by double clicking on the Bbowl.jar file in your JavaBBowl folder. If this does not work, go read the FiletypeSettings? page for further help.
