Ironbreaker Starting Roster & Tactics



Variation 1

  • 5 Linemen 300
  • 2 Blockers 160
  • 3 Blitzers 270
  • 1 Rune Golem 120
  • 3 Re-rolls 150
  • Total 1000

Starting with the Rune Golem is a great help for pitch control which is very useful in the slowest team in the game. 3 Re-rolls is all you will ever need for this roster. So just save up for the apothecary and 4th Blitzer.

 

Variation 2

  • 5 Linemen 300
  • 2 Blockers 160
  • 4 Blitzers 360
  • 3 Re-rolls 150
  • Total 970

This starting roster is arguably the most reliable and cost effective. You do not have any risky big guy rolls, and your have money saved up which means buying the apothecary after game 1 should be a certainty. 2 Blockers gives you the tackle you deseperately need to start with. 4 Blitzers means your team is as fast and agile as it can be at this stage of the teams development.

 

Variation 3

  • 6 Linemen 360
  • 1 Blockers 80
  • 4 Blitzers 360
  • 1 Apothecary 50
  • 3 Re-rolls 150
  • Total 1000

This varient drops the Golem and a Blocker in favour of an apothercary and extra Blitzer. This is risky because your team is so slow that starting tackle is pretty important. The Apothecary gives you some added protection incase of injury however with Av10 all round this may not be worth buying in your starting roster. The extra Blitzer does give your team more mobility and agility though.
