This is the advanced group for No-Block League teams! Go beyond rookie skirmishes and see what kind of medicine you can prescribe for your opponents.

Da Rules:

  1. New [L] LRB teams only may apply to the group.
  2. Dwarf and Norse teams are banned.
  3. Players that start with Block may not be purchased.
  4. Players may not take Block as a skill selection.
  5. If a player MUST choose Block as a skill, then that player must be retired.
  6. NO Star Players, except on goblin teams, which are allowed stars that DO NOT have the block skill.
  7. NO wizards, except for the halfling chef.

Tournament Rules:

  1. Pre-tournament friendly games are to be played with other approved NBL teams not currently in a tournament. It is preferred that you play different teams as well, not against the same team for each.
  2. PLEASE, do not concede games! This effects all of the teams in the tournament, by creating a lopsidedness in TR and cash.
  3. PLEASE, do not retire teams which are currently occupied in a tournament. If this occurs in Veteran or higher rank you WILL be banished from the NBL. Stick it out and better luck next tournament! They are just pixels!
  4. Wizards & Stars - Both are allowed in NBL Advanced tournaments. You may NOT however purchase a star having the block ability.
  5. Post your results in the NBL Veteran forum thread.

NBL Veteran Tournaments

The NBL Veteran Premiere began March 9, 2007 with 8 teams vying for dominance of NBL Advance. Seven rounds concluded on April 27, 2007 and found Azure's necromantic Deathwind at the top. The NBL Vet I Finals matched Azure's Deathwind against phubar's Unblockable Dark Elves and princevaliant's Hobgoblin Superstars against RealMadns's Block Busters lizardmen. Deathwind and the Block Busters advanced to the decider in which Azure won 1-0.

The NBL Vet II and NBL Vet III are running concurrently due to the demand of higher calibur teams in the No-Block League. These tournaments have a starting team rating of 150 and are of the Round-Robin style.
The NBL Vet II began March 12, 2007 with 8 teams vying for the follow up Vet title. Seven rounds concluded on May 28, 2007 and found Kemimutt's pro elf Flower Pow on top. Round one of the finals pitted Jxaing's Blood not Blocks against Flower Pow and saw Flower Pow advance to confront Azure's skaven Web. The Flowers put the Pow to the Web and dominated the game with a multitude of dirty plays and a final score of 2-0.

The NBL Veteran III began April 17, 2007 with 8 teams vying for the third Vet title.
