  • In the open division the Madcap Shroom Addict's skills and stats are as above. In leagues in which you can customise players the Shroom Addict works as follows - Before the pre game phase roll 1 D6 for each Shroom Addict. On a 1 the player is a normal Goblin with Really Stupid, 2-5 they get Might Blow and Dauntless, 6 they gain Wild Animal, Mighty Blow and St4. Their price is not affected by their changes.

Background
Night Goblins live under the mountain of The Old World in tunnels and caves. They are relatives of the Goblins though have a strong aversion to light. If they ever venture out of their caves in the day time they wear dark cloaks and hoods to protect them from the sunlight.

Night Goblin teams have played this sport since its inception. Though over the years their teams have taken many forms. At one time they would play with 2 Trolls only along side them. Then later they started incorporating weapons in to their team like the now city dwelling Goblin teams found in the Old World. However playing in this way never really suited them and over the years the Night Goblins retreated away from the bright cities and daylight games. They started playing the sport closer to home in their mountain catacombs and the surrounding forests. During this period their teams started changing. While Fanatics and a Troll were ever present members of the Night Goblin teams; some teams of the region started playing mounted on a Squig. Some players started bringing nets to trip opposing players up, which referees seemed to turn a blind eye too. Some players even started eating Madcap Mushrooms in the belief that their strength would be greatly enhanced. Oftentimes the mushrooms would leave the Goblins in a daze on the pitch oblivious to the events unfolding around then, much to the hilarity of the supporters. Occasionally however the Goblin would ingest the Mushroom and the run rampage on the pitch taking down opposing players twice their size.

The Night Goblins caverns now house many Blood Bowl Stadia and fans throughout the World travel to spectate their unique, entertaining style of play even though no team has ever achieved any notable success. In fact no team has survived long enough for supporters to make them a banner, or even remember their name. But none of this matters to Night Goblins fans, everyone knows where they can watch them play and the Night Goblin Big Boss' are collecting the spoils.

Rationale
The Linemen though called Night Goblins are kept the same as standard Goblins as there is little to differentiate them other than the clothes they wear. The Squig hopper is the same as in the Squig team, 0-2 were added as they are so synonymous with Night Goblins. I could have added more Squigs, but I wanted the teams focus to be on the Night Golin's rather than the Squigs who have their own team. They were given 0-1 Troll as they needed a Big Guy, but 0-2 would be too many as the team has 2 st4 Squigs and Mushroom addicts. They were given 0-2 Fanatics because Fanatics are arguably the most iconic thing about Night Goblins. Netters were added, again because they are synonymous with Night Goblins. When translated to Blood Bowl their nets have the function of prehensile tail. I did not feel the need to add clubbers though, in my mind I would expect all goblins to sneakily use bits of wood to attack their opposition on the pitch, I did not feel any need for an extra positional to represent this. Finally the Madcap Mushroom addicts were added. As a corner stone of Night Goblins background material it felt a must to incorporate them in to the team. They have a fixed stat line in SLO because of the limitations there, but in league they have a pre-game roll to determine the variable effects of the mushrooms they ingest. I do not expect this roster to be particularly competitive. However I do feel a lot of fun can be had with it.

Season 3
New team to season 3 only 131 games played so far with a win percentage of 31%, this team is performing exactly as expected perfectly in the tier 3 bracket. Though it's still early days.

Season 4
Night Goblin are performing as badly as I would have expected. The only change I am making is I have changed their Troll to be a Stone Troll in line with the Stone Troll featured in the Troll roster. With 296 games players and a win percentage of 33.28% I am happy to lock this roster in now.
