A permanent is anything worse than a "miss next game" injury (mng), which means any kind of stats drop, niggling injury or death.
Those injuries are quite common on the bloodbowl pitch since this is an extremely dangerous sport, and are therefore part of the game. Hence there is no reason to insult your opponent because his lineman broke the armour of your 120+ spp one-turner and killed him. Blocking, tripping and even fouling are part of the game and so are their consequences. Of course it's bitter to lose a fully developed player, but remember that if it would have been your player that ripped one of his, you would have greatly appreciated the 2 spp your player would have gained. So take the loss like a (wo)man and grant your opponent his gain.
On the other hand it's not very nice to laugh at your opponent after you shredded his team and killed or crippled 3 of his best players. You too, wouldn't be very happy if you would have to retire a team and in addition getting insulted for that. Most coaches apologize and give their condolences if an opposing player bites the dust, either by a block, foul, trip, crowd push or pitch invasion, although this is not really neccessary, but it helps a bit to cope with the loss.
Just remember this is all just a game and we all are here to have some fun. Please behave that way, so we can all enjoy this great game.
It is extremely poor ettiquette to reboot a computer to prevent a save when someone gets injured. Reboot or killing the client should be reported to the admins who keep a log of this type of abuse. In fact, not only is it poor ettiquette, but outright cheating. If you suspect an opponent of doing so intentionally, please report it to the admins by using the Support button on the website and bringing up the issue. If the player in question has a habit of doing so, this is the only way to prevent it from continuing.
