StableVision Archive

On this page you will find StableVision fluff, news and highlights that are no longer up to date, but which we do not feel the urge to condemn to the abyss.

Old News and Highlights

  • Saturday the 16th of June sees two Stable Events draw to a close. EGO, which had already lost the match against the NBL Rangers, minimised the damage as Candlejack drew one back against JXaing, in a game which saw Khemri score three times. Shortly after that, LoA Ninja couldn't capitalise fully on their 2/1/1 lead over FU, and in a display of true fouling and silver-tongued arguing, paulhicks managed a surprise draw against Mezir, killing and seriously injuring several Undead players as he went. Ninja still goes ahead as the only Stable so far to win two match-ups out of two, and rise to second in the rankings behind FCUK, who hold top stop still due to their utter humiliation of S.C.U.M in round one.

  • S.C.U.M and LoA CLIOT are both desperate to make up for the defeat they suffered last round, matching each other blow for blow as they take it to 2 all with one game left to be played. The last fixture sees GrinningD's solid Chaos Dwarfs face off against Meech's doped up Elf team. As if the match-up itself wasn't interesting enough, the result of that game is now also the result of the entire Stable match-up. Buy your tickets now, because spectator places may soon be sold out!

  • With a 2/1/1 advantage, LoA Blighty have assured themselves of at least a draw in their match against the Mighty Crusaders. One match remains to be played, and LoA Blighty need only draw the game to win the match. Can the Crusaders pull it back and make it the first Stable match to end in a draw, or will LoA Blighty announce their intention to savage every other UK Stable with a roar? Update: With the last match ending in a draw, Blighty comes out on top with the narrowest of margins. The pengdog's roar is there, but it could be louder!

  • FCUK vs LoA Wolfpack is currently a 0/3/0 draw! The self-styled top UK stable and current Stable Ranking leader has found itself matched blow for blow by LoA Wolfpack, who see themselves as a definite contender for the alpha dog spot. To top it off, FCUK is on an eight game long unbeaten streak! Two games to go, and the stage is set for a thriller. A mistake by any of the remaining coaches can mean ignominity and defeat for their Stable! No pressure, guys. Update: With a win from Falcone, the Wolfpack moves ahead by one game, with only one game to go, thus assuring themselves of at least a draw and ending FCUK's unbeaten streak. In the last match of the fixture with the pressure on, Gritter overcame the infamous Dead Bunnies United coached by Synn to make the final score 1-3-1. Great series!

  • Stable Dragonfire has finally got its reigns together and has announced its first challenge, taking on as dragonfire HQ calls them "The Head Of LOA and the biggest problem around" LoA Wolfpack, Can Dragonfire come out into round 3 with an almighty roar or is the wolf of LoA going to send the dragons back to the pound!?! Being the only stable to have not scored either way dragonfire desperatly need to get on the scene with one hell of a bang, wolfpack have only one thing to fight for, pride, and as the conference with dragonfire head coach peter thorpe brought, one phrase that was heard was "Those wolf boys have nothing but pride, lose to us and not only will we haunt them forever, but most of fumbbl will laugh there b*****ks off that they lost to 5 reperbates, we cant lose this!" will dragonfire crash out of the stables, or charge like howling banshees? watch this space for more details!!!

  • Will Stable Dragonfire finally rear its ugly head? With the appearance of Cursain the Stable would technically have enough members to compete - but are they still around, or have the fled into obscurity? Update: Apparently Stable Dragonfire is still around and recruiting. By their own words they will soon "pose a threat to all simple-minded Stable coaches out there". However, they are still one coach short, even with the possible addition of Cursain - contact Peter_Thorpe if you are interested in a position.

  • Stable game-play appears to exude a certain attraction on all participating coaches! The proof? The absolute downpour of Round 3 challenges over a week in advance! Stables trying to pick their choice of cherry before anyone else does, or youthful exuberance? You decide.
