From the rules.
Shadowing (General)
The player may use this skill when a player performing an Action on the opposing team moves out of any of his tackle zones for any reason. Each coach rolls a D6 and adds their own player’s movement allowance to the score. If the shadowing player’s coach manages to equal or beat the other coach’s score, then he may move his player into the square vacated by the opposing player.
How does that relate to
Roger tries to shadow Fernardo:
Shadowing Escape Roll [ 5 ][ 5 ] = 10
Fernardo escapes his opponent.
Succeeded on a roll of 8+ (MA 6 - MA 6 + Roll > 7).
If someone knows thanks. |

Well, that's easy:
Shadowing (General)
The player may use this skill when a player performing an Action on the
opposing team moves out of any of his tackle zones for any reason. The
opposing player rolls 2D6 adding their own player’s movement allowance
and subtracting the Shadowing player's movement allowance from the
score. If the final result is 7 or less, the player with Shadowing may move
into the square vacated by the opposing player. He does not have to
make any Dodge rolls when he makes this move, and it has no effect on
his own movement in his own turn. If the final result is 8 or more, the
opposing player successfully avoids the Shadowing player and the
Shadowing player is left standing. A player may make any number of
shadowing moves per turn. If a player has left the tackle zone of several
players that have the Shadowing skill, then only one of the opposing
players may attempt to shadow him.
Just take the applying rules |

By the way:
The probability is the same than before. The difference is, that only the active coach has to roll the dice and therefor can reroll his roll. |

hmm.. that's kinda hard for me to believe....uhmm... it's true... both 15/36 on same movement...... but hmm....if the movemnt would be 2 higher for the player being shadowed it looks differnt.... the old system would add a full +1 on any move result... but the... son of a... it's true... on the other side of the equasion the probablities fall off exactly like when rolling with 2 dice... that means that... there is an easier way to compare two dicerolls by just adding the two results together it's possible to recreate the result in a much simpler calculation.... fascinating... |

hehe
It's because you can see a 7 as 2D6
2D6 + MA_own - MA_op > 7
is just the same as
2D6 + MA_own > 2D6 + MA_op

tentacles is the same thing. even tho it feals like its worse nnow. st2 tries to leave a st5 tentacles. lrb4 it was 1d+2 versus 1d+5 on equal the catcher gets away. the new rule is 2d +catcher st2 -beast st5=2d-3 to suceed you have to get a total of 6or more. so you need to roll 9 on 2d. thats not a easy thing to do |

No you can't you can just shadow someone that is performing an Action. Action with the big A is Block-, Move-, Blitz-, Pass-, Handoff-Action. All with the capital letter in the start, which is not the same as "move" which is where a player is moving one step. But the Move Action sequence.
If you haven't noted before, since LRB5 they went through the rules a lot with this in mind and if you know that when reading the rules, it is much easier to understand them. |

Tentacles triggers as the player wants to move out, shadowing once the player have managed to leave the square. |
