Another reason to not kill my catchers, they keep getting skill boosts.
2nd catcher got a 64, so now I need help choosing between move and wrestle/dodge. My first catcher already took a Ag boost so it would delay the wrestle/dodge on this one too. Is it worth it? |

It's a Pro Elf team. They burn twice as bright and twice as fast. It's the natural order of things. Embrace it. Death and glory! |

I feel that in FFB there is no penalty for having super-stars like there was in LRB4. No aging and no TV penalty for extra skills make super-stars more workable than in previous rules, where each skill was more expensive than the previous one.
for a +AG catcher, and for catchers in general, i'd definitely go with dodge. |

Dodge.
Block.
Strip Ball.
(Leap has its uses, but it's mostly for people who'd rather roll for 2+ with no reroll than 4+ with, at the cost of a skill)
However you go with him long-term, Dodge is best now. |

Dodge and block are great, but consider Pass Block, if you don't want him blitzing. Against passing teams, it can be great to have a guy who can (assuming no TZ) intercept 50% of the balls he has a shot at! |

Actually, the Catch skill works on INT attempts. It's actually a 75% chance with NoS and AG5 to make any INT (barring other modifiers like rain and FA). |

Hey Mac, I already commented on your post. I did it in the past because I knew you were going to say that. So I'll just quote that and save me some time.

Pass Block is the suck.
It's a skill I might give a player as a 4th or 5th skill on a well developed team. And even then I can probably find something better.
It's just too easy to negate. Don't pass the ball or move outside his pass block range. Either way it's a passive skill that will get used once in a while but most of the time a waste of TV. |

Doesn't matter. Someone else will bring up Pass Block again at one point in the future of this thread anyway. |
