Let's see what the public think. Will it be a Box team, or a Ranked team to lift the trophy? I think the Box vs ranked split at kick off was around 40/60 in favour of ranked, if that helps.
Keeping the poll open only for 7 days, so that we can't all just wait until it is more obvious. |

185 [R]anked teams
119 [B]lackbox teams |

I think and hope that a box team will win the trophy.
I think box coaches hold the advantage due to playing in a competitive division! |

Ranked because just clawpombing each other doesn't make for good coaches. |

I voted for League. If it's not improbable or impossible, I wont be amazed or surprised |

Ranked. I have a Box team in there, and I don't doubt the competitiveness of either division. But ranked has been around for longer, as have the players (not coaches). It's just easier to build a monster ranked team than it is to build one in the box.
Still, inducements mean that the monster teams might suffer from bloat, so I wouldn't put it past a clever box team to work its way through if it had a good draw and the coach knew what inducements to take. |

i'd say monster teams aren't actually doing well |

Ranked.
The better agile teams are in ranked, id expect an agile team to win this, too many games to not get hurt by attrition, agile teams can cope with inducements better than bash. |

I want Purplegoo's frogs to win, so I'm going to vote B, sadly I can't see it happening though. The more likely outcome is he will get through a few rounds then have a team so beat up it will be worse off that a rookie slann team. |

Ranked will win because they can cherry pick their team to perfection (spot the antagonistic remark!) whilst Box really is survival of the fittest... plus the numbers in their favour just mean it's more likely ... But as Han Solo once said "Never tell me the odds!"... |

How sweet! I can't see me lasting 5 minutes, mind, especially now the star Catcher bought it game one.
It’s a lottery. In Ranked’s corner, we have ‘picked’ teams, agility teams that are likely to be of a higher number of skills and more rounded teams (not having to build one way to counter the majority of foes in a division). In Blackbox’s, we have more killy bash teams, lower TV to make use of Inducements wisely and teams built wholly in the ruleset with no hangover now inefficient skills or combinations.
Could go either way, but I think I’d vote for R in a 50/50 split, the winning advantage being the more rounded teams. Skills like Sure Hands and Tackle matter, and B teams are often too specialised. Day to day in the division, hurrah, but in something like this, I think not. |
