Since the new blitz! result isn't enforced in the client but easily enforced yourself I guess the new blitz! rule is in effect and the old but client allowed rule would be cheating.
Right or wrong?
And if I'm right maybe a news-story about it would be good so that everybody notices it. |

Due to the impossible nature of enforcing this type of thing why wouldn't we wait until ski updates the client? Otherwise are not all those changes to the kick off table and handicaps cheating too as they cannot be rerolled.
I'd suggest people just be practical and use the current client as is, and not worry about differences between client & LRB in the short term. |

I sincerely hope this new blitz will be implemented in the client though. |

Based on the attitude of the dook, I'd assume that you have to follow the rules review (where possible) to the letter.
...but since it isn't going to be enforceable, I wouldn't worry if you forget. |

Despite the impossible nature of enforcing it, I fully intend to not move any players in TZs on a blitz unless I hear specifically otherwise from an admin - which would be an example of a division-specific rule in the order of precedence. Just the principle of the thing.
As far as handicaps and kickoff tables go, that's why we have an order of precedence on the rules page. If JBB doesn't give you the option to follow the LRB, then JBB's interpretation is the one enforced. If you have an option of not breaking LRB/BBRC rules, then breaking those rules is against League rules and, therefore, cheating.
Completely impossible to enforce, however. I'm just doing so on principle. If you think it is cheating, then don't do it. If you don't think it is cheating, then play me because you don't have to worry about me reporting you.
ps. It's worth noting that I was playing some fourball (with reserves) last night and on a few drives I forgot to set up all my players out of habit. I should probably say that I am going to TRY to remember to follow all the Rules Review rules wherever possible. I'd actually completely forgotten about the new blitz until I noticed this thread. |
