I'm not a brilliant coach, but I think I can achieve more than I have so far in the area of serious competition - with both more and less serious teams.
The recent threads on top coaches and teams have inspired me to join a minor tournament again - with the intention to win, of course. I'm just in the mood for it. I'm not trying to change the way I enjoy FUMMBL.
Now, with what team would you folks like to see me achieve something? (I'm not asking what team has the best chances.)
Ranked
Agility Monsters | Scheduled SMACK Legend (Dwarf, TV 2590k | Dwelfball specialists)
Forlorn and Forgotten | Scheduled SMACK Experienced (Necromantic, TV 1100k)
Gentlemen on Tour | Scheduled SMACK Experienced (Human, 1040k)
Tallyman's Servants | Scheduled SMACK Experienced (Nurgle, TV 1070k)
World (of) Dominion | Scheduled SMACK Experienced (Underworld, TV 1010k)
Nuffle Fanatics | Royal Rookie Rumble (Chaos Pact, TV ~850k)
Blackbox
Feed the Tree | Black Box Brawl (Wood Elf, TV ~1700k | Stat freak wardancer)
House Craban's Coaching Staff | Black Box Brawl (High Elf, TV ~1240k)
Low and Mighty Blow | Black Box Brawl (Halfling, TV ~1000k)
Rabe's Badge Hunters | Black Box Brawl (Human, TV 1890k | Theme team)
Return Of The Retired | Black Box Brawl (Nurgle, TV 1260k | Theme team)
Torfmoorholm Beast Hunters | Black Box Brawl (Norse, TV 1230k)
Comments welcome! |

tooooooo many choices!!!!! Agility Monsters (voted for) and Feed the Tree are my favourite of your teams... If they enter a Brawl I will throw my Tribute Big Guy's Lunch Box (Orcish Troll version) in as well |

Oh deary me. This is one of the worst threads of all time.
If you want to try to win a tournament, just enter one. Why do you need a pat on the back to do so? Who cares which team. Enter the ones you like or feel are strongest. That's what everybody else does. Nobody makes a poll for this kind of stuff... |

/boo
Statfreak wardancer is the kind of player that wins tournaments. His company is not awesome but i think Feed the Tree might be your best shot. |

if you could make some prep games, humans and necros at low TV are very competitive, specially with that +ag wight you've got there. A few more skills or inducement powered, both ways might work for them. |

Ignore Chainsaw, he sounds grumpy today (and I thought I was grumpy...)
I want to see the Agility Monsters enter a tournament. And I put a team in that same bracket, too. |

I obviously do!
Background: Yes, I want to play a tournament again and I eventually want to win one. However, I have too many teams I'd like to enjoy in a tournament and only time for one or maybe two at once. Bringing the Monsters seems like a natural choice, but then again, there are the others...
So, why not asked the masses?
The only thing I feel you can hold against me is the thread title, as it might look more promising than the content really is.
Grumpy one!

Oh, I have a +AG wight? Wow, good to know!

Nice to see that other teams get some love, too. Even though they might have to sit it out for now. |

Just to let those of you who care know:
I applied my Monsters to Scheduled SMACK and they now have to face BattleLore's chaos team Blood Red - a match that promises dwarf blood! It will probably happen tomorrow night.
I was tempted to join the BBB at the same time with Feed the Tree (that's wardancer is just win, I certainly don't have bigger chances on a title than with him), but restrained myself. Would have been bad if RL had to suffer...
However, Adam's FUMBBL Masters thread lead to the question, how good I could really be with dwarves. I have played more than 200 games with them, so I think I can call myself experienced, even though not successful.
I decided to finally create another dwarf team that I'll drastically build and play to win. My enthusiasm will probably fade soon, but right now the Quintessential Dwarves will make an appearance in (hopefully) the next Royal Rookie Rumble.
(And I know it's a good idea not to make a blog entry about it, since the world doesn't want more boring, annoying dwarf teams and coaches would rate it badly. )
Oh, and while talking about taking it to the extremes: there's of course the Graceful Ballers who will most likely start their career with an impressive loss in zakatan's FUMBB[L] Cup: Massive Edition. Maybe they can make up for the boring dwarf team mentioned before. |
