Hey Fae Players,
Anyone else had the conundrum of rolling double 5 with a fen beast with block? This guy has given me that very problem on this team.
I am weighing up the benefits of +MA or tackle as he would almost certainly be able to use either most of the time but open to other shouts.
I think I am leaning towards +MA as he is my main blitzer and it certainly helps with that as well as getting up after a fall but he shouldn't in theory be spending too much time on the floor as he has block and mostly he won't be getting hit. Tackle is so tempting though as he spends most of his games squashing stunty folks.
Thoughts welcome!
PS As a bonus stunty skill choice question: "Is there any doubles skill worth taking on a rookie Mad Bommaz?" |

Ma or tackle. I'd take ma though. |

No experience with Fae here but:
Since he has Grab you're losing less by not taking Tackle. MA2 is quite bad, especially with no Take Root. So I vote +MA with some added salt |

+ma
not having to roll to stand up is a life saver |

I have some experience with Fae, and I voted +MA. You already have Block, which is great. MA3 is so much better than MA2. (MA4 is also quite a bit better than MA3, as you can blitz from prone safely, but not quite as big of a difference)
If you roll another doubles, obviously take Tackle. |

I believe he can take jump up and I did think about it (I had a jump up gnome cannon which was fun) but given this guy hardly gets knocked down with S6 and block I would take +MA over jump up to help him get up if needed. |

you could get 16 turns of use per game out of the +ma
but you could get 32 turns of use per game out of the tackle.
go tackle. it's almost as useful defensively against stunties as it is offensively.
watch the blighters burn rerolls and die on dodges trying to run from your mighty fen beast. |

3 more chances for a double though, getting another ma is very unlikely. Ma is huge for an ma 2 players, and with the amount of bombs about he will go down. Also ma 3 break tackle opens up some nice new options. |

But you won't get 32 turns of use out of tackle if you can't stand up after falling over. |
