Mine is not made for bashing, but positional play and support! And a deathroller really doesn't have to take Block over Frenzy (if you go for a more fun route): He can blitz reliably (no nega trait), has Juggernaut when blitzing, ST 7 you have to reach when you want to actively block him (it does happen, of course) and usually doesn't last for more than one drive anyway. And if he goes down on a block, he's rarely taken out - neither by the hit nor via fouling. I say Frenzy is an option! (Dodge is still the #1 skill for him in my opinion, but we're not talking pure powergaming here - after all, PainState opened this thread. ) |

i thought this was a serious question o.0
on a human team, a blitzer with mb,t,po, jump up, i would take pro as the next skill. almost as good as frenzy for knocking someone down and no following up into awkward positions. pro also helps with jump up, and when the blitzer needs to play ball.
on proper bash teams i would go frenzy as you can be more reckless with your pombers, and frenzy is a great skill. |

You do not really want too much Frenzy on your team. The more you have the harder it will be to keep everyone in the proper position. It's useful to have, helps you open up gaps, gets more knockdowns, and pushes players off the field easier, but the top limit for a team really is four Frenziers.
Pro is a good last pick for players like linemen who don't have good skill access, or players like Slayers, Slann Blitzers, and Vampires that have skills who's failure doesn't automatically end in a turn over (Dauntless, Jump Up, and Hyptnotic Gaze, respectively).
Sadly, I have yet to be blessed with a Big Guy that rolls two doubles, so any of them that have gotten a double have automatically been given Block. |

Frenzy is good if you already took juggernaut to make his blitzing more reliable.
I like Frenzy on the snow troll a bunch. Maybe some other big guys would excel with it too. Obviously MA is a factor. 6MA big guys seem better candidates. |

If we say Frenzy or Pro is picked last after B/T/MB/PO, then I like Pro more from a fluff point of view.
What, your player suddenly became an uncontrollable bloodthirsty looney?
Or he became more proficient from experience?
Frenzy better if you have more Guard about (orcs), less so if not (humans).
Pro better if the player has less MA (orcs), less so if you have more (humans).
Hmmm, seems it's not straight forward
Coache's preference on playstyle for this one, I think. |
