If you look at harvestmouse's pitch, his has the logo & coloured checks with grass texture, instead of a flat colour over the top. |

I've uploaded an example of an overlay (what I originally wanted to do, with the 2 checker patterns blending into each other) next to the fully bespoke pitch I made. The overlay photo has not been approved yet, so please wait. Once it has, you'll see what I mean and why an overlay is a compromise.
The 2 pictures are of what you would see looking at the screen. Remember overlays are cool, but that's a semi transparent picture over the standard pitch.
Here's a breakdown of What I did (once I gave up with overlaying) to give you an idea of what I'm doing here:
Made a suitable grass pattern and coloured it.
Used the basic colours schemes of the 2 chosen teams and found colours that will work with the grass pattern and each other (this took a long time actually, as the actual colours would not have looked authentic).
Coloured the grass with checker patterns in the wide zones.
Made the edge of the checker uneven where it meets the plain coloured grass.
There are 3 layers of logos to blend them into the pitch.
2 layers of pitch to blend the logos
2 layers of 'crosses' to blend the pitch
Added small logos in the endzone to accompany the team name.
Darkened the endzones so that the team names stand out in white.
Added the centre logo (and gave it a colourscheme that works with the pitch and the teams).
Worked colours around the centre logo accordingly. |

Lol, that's no problem. I was interested to see what they'd look like and will use it for personal use anyway. |

Vale Tuco, now throwing long-bomb completions in the big pitch in the sky. Truly an inspiration to Elves everywhere.
The Sentinels will try to do him proud tomorrow night, in their all-Elf season opener.
Stay strong Elfkin Smegish. |
