Dwarfs disagree to the four quarters of four turns idea. We dwarfs never stall. We run as fast as we can and in some games are lucky enough to reach the end zone before turn 8. Now we don't want to get punished for our good behavior of never stalling. |

Here's how to make passing better.
Make it a 2d6 roll like in 2nd ed. Let skills and range affect the chance of success, fumble & interception.
Make it so that it's a pretty safe option with a TRR.
Ofc then Elfs would be even more powerful than they already are... but no-one seems to mind that anwyay. |

I do. Make them AV5 and Titchy (but NOT Stunty) to balance it. |

to make passing more attractive, fumbles should happen on a natural one only. Interception rolls should happen after the passing roll.
Give everyone two cards. Purchase more for 50k inducements. |

I'm in B, and racking up the wins.
I'm sure at some point my tv will get high enough that you will get a chance to match your ability to roll tens with my skill.
As a matter of fact, I'm in range of this skill-testing team. I'm sure it will be incredibly enjoyable and a good gauge of who is a better coach. It's a fascinatingly original concept. Three pombers and four dirty players at a mere 1390tv. I'm sure that's been quite a bit of fun for your opponents. Mmmm, Scrubalicious.
After which, I'll probably head back to ranked where you can troll me for picking once again, but for now we're having fun. |
Looks like someone is stalking me, and has a real hardon over my chosen playstyle
Who are you again? |

But this is quite spot on for this thread |

Well, if you want something on topic, I believe the only way to force people to pass the ball more often is to remove the hand over action. cPOMB isn't the reason they don't pass the ball. The reason they don't do it is that most of the times, unless they want to farm SPP, they can hand over the ball instead and save a roll. So remove that action, and your wish will be granted.
(And yes, that would be dumb! ) |

You could also make the pitch twice as long so a pass is needed to get to the other end unless you don't meet much resistance. More like American Football. although Elves could probably run through anyway and Dwarfs would be the ones needing to pass. |

So I won't bother explaining why other ways of playing aren't relevant to what I was suggesting, unless you think that my liking something (passing tds) is wrong, which you probably do. I accept the points that the sensible people made about the rule changes I suggested not having the desired effect, but that's why I wanted to start a debate about the most effective changes.
