Now there is no wizard, I wonder if a deathroller is a viable option for Dwarfs |

In terms of it giving up the equivalent inducement money of a wizard? Or are deathrollers particularly vulnerable to wizards? |

With the final game of the season, the team's luck continued, and I managed to achieve 3 of the remaining 4 goals:
2. Improve the roster by the end of the season ✔ (Strong Arm thrower, Ma9 catcher & a total of 4 skilled catchers).
4. Win more than I lose ✔
13. Win the division. ✔
That leaves the final goal, which admittedly is a bit subjective.
1. Learn from previous mistakes, reflect on what I could do better & implement. ?
I think there were some slight improvements to my game. I am generally doing less unnecessary gfi's & also improved in the area of knowing when to play the long game (which I didn't do against the Office Rats).
I'm still quite dependant (too much) on luck though I think. Sure, it's an occupational hazard of the high AG teams, but that's probably where I need to improve. |

I mean giving up the money.
I love the wizard even with Dwarfs. And, Giving it up for a deathroller never made sense.
The biggest issue with the deathroller is the cost imo
But its still a great piece |

Death roller was always viable.
Just a choice of preference re one shot Wiz or Roller the opposition.
And yes DDS - Argue the Call works for Secret Weapon send offs. At least per the rule book. |

Buying your team back makes anything non-essential unviable. |

But you have to consider that official GWS rules indicate a season of 8-14 games plus "unlimited" friendlies for more money.
So it remains to the League as in all things to adjust the amounts per game etc to suit their desires. Because GWS have given no real solid indication of what the results are they were looking for. |

It's going to be a juggling act, that's for sure. If you end up with too much money then it makes buy-back essentially pointless and just book keeping. On the flip side it screws teams who have a string of bad winnings rolls.
All the more reason to adopt it! |

Question about the new rules that seems to be coming.
Expensive Mistakes: effectively a randomised cap on your treasury, not wise to go above 190k, or even 90k if you have any reason to spend it.
Is the above true? If this is so, is there any possible way at all to build AV7 team that can challenge for premier title? I had game last season I lost 500k worth of players and none of the games played last season gave me profit... Without substantial bank - I would have ended up playing with 6 journeymans or lots of perms, niggles and -AV which would made more enjuries happen.
Bloody ridicilusly stupid - more strength to bash, yet again. Keep the piling on if this is the price.

Don't also forget that there is no more spiralling expenses so your high TV team will make the same amount of money per game as a rookie team (probably more given it will win more often).
Looking at the new Expensive Mistakes rule and the removal of Spiralling Expenses I think your income per game should go back to being modified by Fan Factor directly instead of fame. It might actually make fan factor important again. |

We did used to have hard TV caps in reggies and conferences to stop monster goblin teams dominating the reggies (and also to help force team bloat management). It really was the rule that made me look at my team critically each season and figure out what I needed/wanted to win/achieve.
It would be interesting if SWL was able to adjust the amount of cash per game for each division to play with the soft TV caps and reward teams for getting promoted. It might help to stop people staying in reggies to rebuild their teams. |

Not unless it was ridiculously stealth. There are some players with big teams in reggies that don't quite make it to conf, but I don't think it has anything to do with purposefully staying down.
Conference, maybe there are, maybe not. I don't think it matters though. Conf is the heart and soul of SWL. Being a 1400 fresher up against a demoted 2300 beast is part of the challenge. |

I think surely coaches take Reggie's less seriously when they are tv130 who will get slaughtered in the conference next year. I certainly concentrate less, not saying i try to lose, i just don't take it as seriously. Funnily enough, it also means i enjoy it more.
PS. Still hunting down that template
PPS. Anyone want to book a trial of blood game in for 10am Monday? |
