The Deserted Isles Blood Bowl Leeg is a weekly league for New Zealand based coaches. Coaches from elsewhere able to commit to NZ prime time (7pm - 9pm nzt) are also welcome.
Season 8 will be kicking off on Sunday 16th April.
Teams new to DIBBL can build up to 1500 TW (including treasury) with friendlies to prep for entry into the league. Can play anyone in competitive games (no all snotling teams), but cannot play the same team twice.
So far we have had 7 seasons won by 7 different coaches.
It'll be 2 pools. Draw made on Sunday ~8pm on discord:

Not much time left for new teams to get ready, but others have entered well below the 1500 previously and thrived.

Standard League rules. This includes recent client changes (Piling On needs Team RR, no wizard).
Some things which have been applied to Rank&Box have not yet been implemented in League. Inducements operate as before.
There are no optional settings being used in the tournament settings.
I still haven't gotten around to writing up the DIBBL rules. Pretty much the same as how SWL operates (e.g. No timeouts).
Tiebreakers run differently from SWL. It's as listed in the final table (Cas+TD diff, not H2H).
After the regular season there are playoffs. Top 6 to the championship finals (The "Tickling" Playoffs), next group to the Participation Plate, and final set to the Wobbly Boot. |

It's Shield season. Having got through the 3 Aussie opposition players, Waikato can now finally put the Shield up for grabs. First up it's Wellington who haven't held it for over a year.

The lizards bully the poor rats and keep the Shield for another defence. Next up is Auckland Chaos, if the Derelicts overcome the Crouching Saurus they'll have the big prize until next season

Squishy vs. Crouching Saurus
Unbelievable but this was the first shot of the squishy rats to grab the shield. The rain started in a massive pouring rain and the Lizards straight attacked the poor rats and dropped the ball doing their passing game. The rats straight went for the ball and Speed IV failed the 1st leap of the game. Nonetheless after Lizards scored early on the rats had sufficient time to equalize to go into half time with a good position. And even attempted to steal the ball of the Lizards to go for the lead in the 1st half. This failed utterly since the Skaven did not manage to pick up the ball, but also the pasing game of the lizard failed so that the team went into halftime with a 1:1. In the 2nd half the rats struggled with their breakability and piled up in the KO box. To their embarrassment they failed two score and Speed IV leaped into retirement. Thus, the Lizards scored at the end of the 2nd half, won the match, and kept the shield. |
